Hi all I've been looking at your forum for awhile now and finally decided to join. I have been a fan of MB for some time, but never actually owned one. I am looking at a 1996 C280 with 122K, runs good but has some quirks. For example, the area where the sunroof control is makes a whirring noise when the car is running. It also has a few scratches on the body. Another quirk is when you hit the gas, the pedal is hard and it takes a second to respond. is this normal?, The owner is asking 5K for it, should I make him an offer or should I look else where.
It is the original owner and has most of the maintenance records.

Not real sure about any of that but my 560 doesnt go right away but i worry about the sunroof. If u want it tell him the sunroof if something is major (other than a cable is major) then tell him to knock off 500 bux. Sounds like u should offer 4300 and got from there. But over all that car is reliable and a good car.
