G'day everyone
I have been living in Africa since coming over from New Zealand last year.
As we have travelled I keep seeing all these nice Merc's and finally went and did something about it.
I managed to get myself a 1990 500SE with 195,000 k's on the clock and love it!
There are so many to choose from here and there is the odd bit of rubbish about too. Given that I'm working on a bit of a budget you can buy one of these here for about the same dough as a nondescript 4 cyl ricer.

It has a few small issues with electrics, which are getting sorted right now and the aircon loses gas, also to be remedied this week, but overall is a really nice tidy car for not much money.
My family builds lodges up in Namibia, Botswana and other places far away and I travel a lot across SA too on their excellent roads, so a cruiser like this is ideal for covering 1200 K's or so in a day.

I have a few questions too but will post them in the appropriate categories.Trying to resize a pic of the Mercedes too but having a goat-rope with that....Vista strikes again,but will get it sorted
