Got a great deal on a 1983 300D and am now a Mercedes owner.. Hope there are plenty in here that like to discuss this model of car and the longevity that it offers..

 

I just drove a 1982 300D yesterday with 160K on it and wow was I impressed when the Turbo kicks in! Asking $3,000 for this one which is from Florida and pretty baked, but solid for here in Vermont. I know of an 84 in NY with the same mileage originally from VA for $1,650, needs a windshield and one door has a dent. I would like to get one and run veggie.
