Hi Folks! Two firsts: my first Merc - a beautiful black 95 E320 Coupe, and my first joining of a user group/forum thing. Had the car two weeks and 1000 miles, and for me it's as close to perfection as you can get on this planet. Okay, my wife couldn't believe how dumb I could be to buy such a big car with only two doors (yeah, and I've got two sons over six foot...and there's not a lot of room in the back) but after a ten-minute ride she got the point. And the forum? I had a slight worry about slow upshifting from cold. A guy (Sleepwalker) came back with an answer within a couple of hours. You know, some things in life are actually very, very good.

 

i like cars with lots of room in the back like the "El Camino". Outdoor movies, Hilltop parks, etc... very useful.

is your car with catalytic converter? was it really that hard to shift?

you know, the shifting is really delayed when the engine is cold to heat up the catalyst (upshift).

please observe if it's doing fine.
