Default E320 CDI Reliability?

Hello all,

I need some reassurance on my purchase of an E 320 CDI for my wife. I purchased the car two days ago for our anniversary. We looked at Jaguar and Lexus. My wife fell in love with MB and we opted for the CDI because of the mileage. However, I have since looked the car up on JD Power, Consumer reports and the internet. I cannot find anyone with much good to say. Reliability is terrible, repeated breakdowns etc. Is this true? Have I made a poor decision?

Thanks

From what I have heard pretty much any MB after 1995 is not of the same build quality like prior models.

I hear the newer ones are way over engineered.

Thanks, that seems to be the consensus from everything I have read. That and MB and the dealerships not being customer oriented.
