for sale is 86 300sdl td 147k dealer service records since 1991 orig owner. car runs strong shifts fine everything work except radio and antena. good paint & good interior recent tires and trans service. car seems fine except title is flood salvage. story is car got water in interior was totaled by insurance co. car starts, electrics work and has no evidence of any water damage. guy who is selling bought from orig owner woman in conneticut. $5,900. what do you think?

 

thanks for your advice. i think the car is in great condition compared to some others i've seen. biggest problem with salvage title i guess would be resale value. if not concerned with reselling value is subjective. 2900 off makes it a great value in my mind. not so sure about thje sellers mind. really like the car!

 

not willing to spend more than car is worth. i do think that $2900 off asking price is ok. will check with insurance co to see how much car will cost to insure. thanks

 

purchased 86 sdl with 136k shinny dark blue paint, interior great condition except for weak sping drivers seat. runs very well powerful, rides well no rattles or noises. breaks good tires new. glow plugs not working and sun roof not working(clicking sound when you move the switch) after a couple of months of looking for a car. this is absolutly better than anything else i saw for more$ or less$. want to fix glow plugs & sunroof. what should i be concerned with at 136k. there is very little in the way of service records, and owner has passed away. bought from his wife who told me it was her husbands baby, he cared for it very well and it shows. it had always been garaged next to a 1931 pontiac still in the garage and never saw bad weather. any sugestions are welcomed regarding services. thanks
