Default C220 going racing

Hi all. Been Rallycrossing a BMW E30 for the last 4 yrs and wanted something different for the 2015 season. So yesterday I bought a one owner, 1995 C220, with 186k on it, in fair condition. I've already started prepping it to run in the Stock Rear classes, I've got Bilstein shocks ordered, 4 Continental ExtremeWinterContact tires on the way from TireRack, and Schroth Rallye 4 harnesses ordered. Currently I can find no Mercedes racing Rallycross with the SCCA, so this will be fun. Car will have no ABS, which means the other assists will also be terminated. ABS is just about useless racing in the dirt. Threshold braking is the only way, especially if the course is muddy.

It's sort of clean. That won't last...

Its perfect for Rallycross in the stock classes. Lots of power is a liability on most courses. Its more about maintaining momentum, choosing the tightest line, and great chassis balance. The massive wheel travel in the rear is a big plus also. Some of the quickest cars Rallycrossing are Miata's and MR2's, and certainly not power machines.
