Hello everyone!
I am wondering if I can get some help. I just bought my first Mercedes, a 99 Kompressor this week. The thing runs beautifully and is in overall excellent condition. However, I have one minor issue. A couple of times now, there will be this random clunking coming from within the right-hand side of the dash, what seems like behind the glove box. I have tried to get it on video but it happens randomly or whenever I stop recording . I think it may be a stepper motor issue. It usually happens at random but today it happened about every 45 seconds until I turned the heat on than it didn't happen the rest of the way home. I wanted some second opinions to see if that is in fact what's going on. What is the typical cost and amount of labor that goes into fixing it? Is it something I can do on my own or would it be best to get someone else to do it? Any input is appreciated, thanks!!
