Default 300TD, wagon, 1987

Hi y'all, this is my first thread. I own a used 1987 300TD, 124, have been driving it now about 3 yrs., has been a great car. I have a couple of questions, 1st, can the fuel injectors be removed without removing the glow plugs? 2nd, I have a problem with the idle of this OM602 engine, it hunts. I don't know how to adjust this. On my previous 220 unit that I drove for 11 yrs. and 300000 miles, I knew how to do this but this injection pump is slightly different. Also where can I buy a CD or maint. manual for this unit without paying a arm and leg. I did buy one from Bentley publications but it does not get very technical. any help would be appreciated, thanks.

glow plugs are separately installed from fuel injector and therefore you can remove them separately.

isn't it suppose to be 603 engine on it?

Hi Sleepwalker, your right about the engine No. and thanks for your information, I have at least one injector that is messing up sometimes, so I guess I'll pull all of them and clean them up. On my previous 240 I cleaned them with solvent and sharp wood dowel, is this the proper way or is there something better. Also, are the injectors adjustable on nozzle pressure spray?

Thanks sleepwalker, and you are right about the engine no. being OM603. What is the proper wrench to use on the pipe nuts, I would suppose a pipe open end , is this correct? By the way thanks for the schmatic of the injectors, big help.
