Default 2002 C240 getting hot and misfiring

My first post here. I was driving the other day and my car started missing would barely move. I pulled over for a few minutes and it would start and I could go another block or two and it would start again. I was about dusk so I stopped and ate. This took about 2 hours and it had cooled off outside. It started and ran fine the rest of the way home, about 14 miles at 45mph in the city. When it started missing the engine temp gauge was around 120-140 (that bar gauge is crap to read). I think this is higher than it normal. It was 80-90 degrees the rest of the way home. We have big outside temp swings here in Florida. I hooked up the OBD2 and it has P0300,301,202,303,304,305,306,307. All misfire codes from when it got hot I guess. I drove it early in the cooler monring about 3 miles with no issue and again tonight. What is the normal temp on the dash gauge? Could this be a SAM issue? Front rear? I purchased a CPS but I don't think that is it. It must be the overheating for some reason and causing a electrical/electronic issue. Just a a side note I reset everything to factory settings on the dash panel earlier in the day. Not nsure if this could have shut down the engine cooling. Thanks
