1995 Mercedes S500 Starting issue please help
Hey guys let me explain whats going on.
I bought a 1995 S500 with M119 V8 engine 148k miles on it.
Car wouldn't start so i check for famous engine harness problem and turns out harness was indeed corroded.
So Im happy thought i found the problem and bought new harness. Install it properly try to start it no ball.
Car just turns and turns than it sounds like its about to start and than backfires and back to turn turn and turn.
So my next guess Crankshaft Position Sensor, I buy a new one install it no ball still same exact issue.
Next i check all plugs which all are good (they all spark). Checked firing order which is correct. Emptied gas tank filled fresh 93 octane, Fuel pump is pumping but haven't done a pressure test.
So anybody who has any input or has experienced this and fixed it please let me know what I can do. Help is greatly appreciated.
I love this car and would be so pleased to get it running
Thanks, Wieland.
