Default windshield washer problems

The windshield washer on my 99 230 SLK only squirts water out of the passenger side port. I have run very fine wire down the one that's not working, but nothing happened. I tried to remove the lttle unit but decided I didn't know what I wa doing. Can anyone help????

I have had the same problem for some time. You will need to remove the plastic cowling under the bonnet which houses the washer jets after first removing the wipers.Take out the 6? screws and unclip the pipes and cables. The jets can then be removed from underneath by unclipping and pulling them off the pipes. Operate the pump without the jets attached and check there is a good flow.If so try to unblock the jets with a powerfull air supply. I replaced the jets with new ones from the dealer. Cost me about £20 I think, probably cheaper if yours are not heated like mine.
Bit fiddly job ,take care when re-fitting pipes and cables.
Let me know how you get on!

Thumbs up thanks Paul

I will follow your suggestions as soon as I get a warm day and some free time. Thanks, Paul, for your willingness to help out. I'll post a "how it came out" after I tackle the project.
