Hi. I recently purchased a White (original paint) '99 C280. I am having difficulty finding the factory washer fluid (the conc stuff we're supposed to dilute)from our local dealership; they seemed to have been out for the past few weeks. Can I usethe windshield washer fluid from our neighborhood Exxon or BP/Amoco or Shell? Will it affect the finish? If not, what are other alternatives? Anything from Autozone, Advanced Auto Parts or O'Reilly's?

I use RAINX, works like a charm, no issues. Summer strengthin the summer and winter strengthin the winter. A little more expensive than the store brands, but works very well.

 

You should have NO problems using the High Quality
Windshield Washer Fluid out there.

I don't use MB OEM Fluid.
Heck THEY don't even make it!

In Florida I use the Rain-X with Bug Remover
Again, anything high quality.
