Can anyone provide suggestions on how to tow a 2000 SLK 230 using a tow-dolly?

I think using a tow dolly can be inconvenient, because two sets of safety cables are required between the coach and the dolly and between the dolly and the vehicle. tie-down straps frequently fail on dollies.

 

I've been told by one dealer's service manager that RWD MBs can be towed at hiway speeds with the rear wheels on a dolly, ie pulling the car backwards, but have not been able to verify this method and it's possible impact on warranty or brake system. Would like to get more input.
