06 350slk, very poor distance performance from the built in gargage door opener. Seems MB thickened the windshield to improve sound deadening etc. Had to be pretty close to the door
for the unit to make the door go up (pretty frustrating). The fix (since MB had no answer) was to attach a piece of speaker wire to the antenna on the garage door opener, run the wire to hang just outside the garage door (to the front of hte house), the opener unit in the car
now works far away as it should.

previous car was 04 slk320..........door opener worked just fine, and ohter car is honda ridgeline and works just fine from that vehicle, absolutely only change in the formula was the new
