I bought new pads and rotors for my 98 slk230 this week and attempted to put them on Today. The front went on no problem the problem I am having though is the rear pads. I can not get the rear pads off of the caliper for the life of me. It looks to me that there is a pin that holds the pads on the caliper but I have no idea how to get this pin out. Any Suggestions or any How To sites to direct me to ?

as for the pin you need to drive it out with a small drift. there should be a spring clip and possibly 2 pins

 

32 is right on the money, push down on the spring clip and drive the pins out.
