SLK 320 - "jumps" out of first gear
Hi - I have a 2001 SLK 320, 6 spd manual. Every now and then when I am taking off from a stop, the car "jumps" out of first gear. The garage couldn't find anything wrong - as it is sporadic it didn't do that when it was in the garage! It can get very annoying, as I have to drop it into 2nd and then take off - wasting vital seconds!!!!
The car has always done it since I purchased it 4 years ago, and would love to have a solution. Right now when it happens I will take off in 2nd and not have the problem.
