My remote unlocking with the key does not work anymore. I have changed the battery and called the dealer and they said there is nothing that can be done...new one is $150.
Any ideas if this can be fixed?

Are you sure that its the remote that's wrong?
Try the other remote like Sleepwalker suggests.
If that doesn't work either I'd look elsewhere i.e. the security / locking PSE unit in the trunk.
Let us know how you get on and I'll run you thru what else to look out for.
Does your interior light work as it should? i.e. with the doors open / shut?

I have tried the other key and the remote and key work fine.
It's just the second key...

a member posted here once and mentioned about the solder inside which gets faulty. it even got pictures of it, but i cannot remember the link.

he was able to fix it.

it's worth a try since you are going to toss it to the nearest rubbish bin anyway.
