Thought this might be of help if you have the same problem.Wife called in a panic from supermarket car park, remote fob would not open doors.I arrived with spare key and also nothing.Book says "open door with key and switch on ignition" Did this to be greeted with continous alarm and engine immobilised.AA arrived, checked his laptop and said I should have a "plastic" spare key to disable the alarm, anyone heard of this?Anyway we disconnected the battery earth, operated the fob, reconnected battery and all is back to normal.Question is, is it cured,is it likely to happen again and anyone know what happened?Anyone have a plastic key supplied with the car? It's a 2002 320.
