This happened 3 times and I am not sure what's wrong....please help!

I drive my car once every 3 to 4 days. But when I turn the engine on, and put it in reverse, as soon as I let go of the brake, the car makes a loud noise. But just one loud noise and after that it's okay when I drive off. Does anyone know what's the problem? Is it because I let my car sit there idle for too many days?

 

Sounds like brake pads releasing from the rotors...does the car move at all BEFORE you hear/feel the noise ?

The noise comes first, and then the car moves.

hmm sometimes same problem happens with the hand break adjustments

 

Do you mean that it might be because of my hand break?
In this case, it's probably not because I have never pull up my hand break when I park. It's always in the down position.
