I know synthetic atf is supposed to last a long time and the transmission is sealed and not supposed to need service, but I don't think it hurts to get rid of that black nasty looking stuff, which is what it was. and I had the filter changed too. maybe your tranny will love ya for it by lasting longer. it cost a little over $200.

 

thanks for the info, I hope others take heed. what's your opinion on changing synthetic motor oil. I don't like going past 6k and have always used castrol, some think I'm not being green enough and should go up to 12k or more....??

 

I use 0W30 mobile one every 3k, tranny fluid/ filter once a year.

 

Its cheaper than a motor! besides i can get the oil cheap.
