What maintenance is required around 70k?
My mom recently bought a 2000 E320 with a 3.2l v6 with 68k miles on the odometer right now. I already changed her oil. Thanks to someone posting a diy with photos, I was able to do the oil change on this car (my first ever oil change). I was visually checking her fluids, everything looks ok, but I'm not a mechanic so my knowledge in this area is so so. I don't have any service records of the vehicle from the first owner, but the dealer did change the oil at 61k and replaced the front brakes. I assume all the fluids are original. Would replacing the brake, coolant, power steering, and transmission fluid be a good idea? I would like to do everything myself, but I have no clue how to do these. I have all the tools, but no knowledge. Are there diy's on any of these beside the engine oil?

Oh, and I already changed the engine air filter. The dealer changed the cabin filter (I made sure by opening up the glove box, is the filter dark black?). Does the fuel filter need to be replaced? How much does the dealer charge for the fuel filter?
I'm not a big fan of getting aftermarket parts like air filters, oem is more expensive but at least the parts fit perfectly.

Is changing the fuel filter around the same difficulty level as changing the engine oil? When I changed the oil, I looked under the car and I saw a lid about 10x15" near the driverside rear tire. Is that how I access the fuel filter? Any tips on changing it? I've never done it before. Roughly how much does the filter run? Thank you for your response.

I called 2 local dealers to get quotes on the fuel filter w/ the clamps. Both dealers quoted me $140 for parts. That seems a lot for a fuel filter. Is there a website I can find oem parts without the dealer prices?

try this place. if you guys have other suggestions (less expensive for OEM type parts), I'm all ears.

Thanks for the link raymond. Have you had good experiences with this company? Are their oem quality like parts as they say they are? What's the best fuel filter brand to go with after oem? The link you provided, raymond, carries Bosch and Knecht fuel filters.
