Sleepwalker,
What do you mean by "check it" first?....I'm thinking of dropping the compartment and get to the valve, if I can verify that it where the hissing came from then the valve is bad right..?!! I'm feeling like an idiot, right now... []
Many thanks....

i mean, open the panel and listen to confirm if that's the same noise you hear.

only this valve can make such noise as you describe... in my guess only without actually hearing it.

Man oh Man...Sleepwalker !! You're my Hero.
I was able to get to that "pest" valve. I thought I heard the hissing from it, and now with your input....I'm 100% sure now. I have ordered the part from a Benz dealer in my area. By the way, what does that switch valve do, Sleepwalker?!! Can I live without it?
Best regard,

ps: Many Many Many thanks to you.

it opens and closes the ventilation flap.

i think for the fresh or recirculation...

yeah, you can do without it, but if it remains open on fresh air, you will get smog inside your car or takes time to cool the interior a bit.

if always close, then maybe no problem for as long as nobody eat durian inside.

I will replace it anyway.......So then I may eat durian in my car.... every now and then. It will just cost me $35 USD. Thanks for your help, Sleepwalker.
Best regards,
