ok im helping to repair a slk 1997-1999 model it was left in a garage with a leak in the roof. Now water had got in the garage and filled the whole passenger side up with water damaging the electrics it had the convertable top open now it was sat with water in it for over a year. we managed to get the inside of it dry but the guy that owned it had closed the top and it wouldnt open again (wasnt opened for nearly another year) we now can get the boot to open up but the roof wont budge we've tried to lubricate the hydraulics but no luck.

Was wondering if anyone had any ideas?
