2001 Center console removal info needed?
Hi all,
I am trying to remove the center console on my 2001 SLK, (the part that houses the radio, AC, and other controls) and cannot find information on how to do it on this site. I did remove the handbrake / armrest console with ease, but that’s it! Does anybody know how I get a drawings, schematics, pictures or somebody who’s done this before? I have a crack in it and want to replace it.

I removed the part that has the EBrake and repainted BUT the half with the radio is what I need info on.
I need to remove to paint it but am having no luck in search of several MB forum sites. I would like a step by step on how to remove the upper console. Pictures would be AWESOME!
I have a 2001 SLK230. Thanks.

warning lights
Hello, having sorted 99.5% of my problems with my SLK 230 1998 170, I still have my brake warning light on, reservoir has enough fluid, so I assume it is the switch, how do I get to it, is it through the consul? if so how do I go about removing it?
Is it a MOT failure?
