I've been offered a pair of Xenon lamps (MB#129 820 91 61 - 129 820 92 61). My existing set is the H4 60/55W and the 5W wedge park bulb. They say this upgrade is plug 'n play. Does that mean that the 3-pin female plug that goes to the H4 bulb will just plug into this new set of HID lights? Those with access to MB Part nos. can you please verify if this will indeed fit the SL500? Thanks

 

xenon got a control unit (igniter) that generates about 12k volts. if you got this in your car, then you can fit that one.

if not, it won't work.

 

...and the xenon bulb anyway is round, not 3 terminals.

yours got 3 (high and low), but xenon was earlier used only as low beam.

oh, i was thinking that you were only talking about the bombilya...yun pala isang assembly.

bigay mo nga ulit yun chassis number mo, so i can check if you need to modify the wirings.

you may also take a look at the connector and color of the wires if similar. if it is, then it can be use directly.

 

i saw the connections.

4 wh

they are the same color and position

only that the new xenon got another 4 connectors for the motor (headlamp range adjustment). if it has, just ignore it...if it doesn't have... ignore it as well
