I own a 1996 SL320. yesterday i had the battery replaced by a friend. now the power top will not work right, also the automatic window lowering system when you open the doors also don't work. the top starts to come down but the front over the windsheild don't unlatch. I never recieved a owners manuel when i bought the car so any help would be appriciated

You may benefit from downloading the Owners Manual for your car from this site at another forum.

Your problem may be as simple as re-synching the windows/top or more complex if when the battery was changed, error codes (DTC) codes are preventing the top controller from properly engaging. I believe the synch instructions are in the manual.

If, after you re-sync the windows and the top still doesn't work, get back to this forum and I'll tell you what to do.
