Just removed the hardtop, with no problem raised the softop with no problem, now when I tried to it lower the roof the rear section is working fine but the header won,t release the front section, has anyone experianced this, if so what,s the solution.

I just got mine 1971 450SL this Easter, so haven't much experience. But there is a wire going from the left side handle over to the right side. This might be snapped off?
