I have a 92 500sl and the roll bar seems extra sensitive. When in the down position anytime I accelerate quickly or if I go around a corner with any speed the roll bar goes up and of course it is unexpected and somewhat frightening as to what is going on.

Is there a way to adjust or desensitize the roll bar mechanism? I cannot seem to find any posts in regard to this.

probably need a 129 820 22 26 roll bar control module, check number on unit. there are newer replacements, like 003 820 68 10. used ones on ebay or may be able to have it rebuilt. check to see if it might be loose under the storage compartments behind the seats. it's in the middle and is supposed to be attached firmly to the floor. check wiring connection. don't confuse with the top controller in the bottom of the passenger side storage.
