Just bought a 99 sl500. Never been registered in state with front license plate. Nedd suggestion as to plate holder and how to attach. Really donot want to drill unless I have to.

 

I got a basic $3.50 bracket from car-quest and attached it to the grille under the bumper using cable ties. attached the plate and frame to the bracket using the screws that came with it. I did this on my r230, my r129 already had an oem bracket attached to the bumper
