My 97 sl500 has not been used in about 4 weeks due to bad winter. Recently when I started it the odometer was jumbled- no numbers just random characters. I turned it off and restated it and the odometer went back to normal and it drove normal. About a week later, while I was driving, the whole bank of "idiot" lights started to flash yellow a few times stopped then the seat belt light came for a few seconds, also the odometer was jumbled again. The car was driving normally. This happened again a few times as I returned to home. The car drives beautifully and has 46,000 miles on it. I have not driven it since then. Unfortunately the mechanic who worked on my car passed away and I have not found a new one. I hope that somebody knows what this is and that I can get it fixed for $10.00 ( only kidding)
