Default Metal Shavings in Brake Fluid

I just bled the brake fluid in my 1997 SL320 because there was air in the system after a recent fluid change. I bled from the four points atthe calipers and metal shavings were in the fluid. Does anyone know what this means? I drove about 30 miles with air in the system. The system has ASR; is there a bleed point for the ASR too?
Thanks,
Hank

Default RE: Metal Shavings in Brake Fluid

Something just dawned on me: when I drained the fluid, I didn't drain it directly from the drainage point, I left it flow down the surface of the caliper and control arm before dripping into the drainage pan. I bet that is where it picked up the shavings. If anyone has any insight into this, please let me know. Also, where is the ABS/ASR bleed point?
