Mercedes R129 500SL 1992 issue
Hello,
I am honoured to become a member of this fine MB community.
I own a 500 SL,1992. About two months ago I took it for a Sunday ride. After the engine got warm it started to choke and finally turned off. I couldn't start it for about an hour. When it got colder I could start it again and, still choking,we barely got home. And it has been like that ever since- cold engine-fine,warm engine- dead... My mechanician and electrician have done all they know- the CPS checked (fine), the temperature sensors have been replaced, the spark plugs, the distribution caps have been recently replaced as well. We have no more reasonable concepts...
Any advice guys?
Best RegardsChris

vacuum hoses? use carburetor cleaner or starting fluid around hoses and injectors while running, if car stumbles that's an issue
