As long as it was the original for your car, just folow the instructions in your owner's manual about resynchronization of your key fob.

 

On my 1994 modelwith infrared remote, my manual says to first manually unlock a door with the key, then hold the remote unit right next to the door sensor, and hold the button down for a full count of 15 seconds. After that, the remote will be reprogrammed to work with the lock. It worked on my model.
