hey guys, i plan on buying a SL500, year 2003 to 2006. wanted to know which year you would recommand and which to stay away from. goods and the bads, and any other recommandation that you have. thanks for the info.

 

What ever you get...get warranty.
I have a 05 SL55AMG and it has had a SC clutch replaced, both door IR sensors, air conditioning line leak and drier replacement, both front motor mounts, voltage regulator, and rear batteryfailure. On it's third set of brake pads, second set of rotorsand second set of tires. All dealer serviced.

Now it looks like the throttle pedel position sensor is failing, sets code and goes into limp mode.

It just turned 26,000 miles.
