Hell All.

I am new to this forum. Just bought a 2005 SL500 a month ago. I noticed today that two of the fins on the driver hood vent have a 1/4 inch piece missing from the top tip. I have no idea how this happened but can only assume it was broken off in a " touchless" car wash by the jet of water (100 PSI I am told).

Apparently Mercedes says I cant buy the aluminum colored fins by themselves and have to spend $250 Canadian for a whole new vent.

Question: 1) DO YOU THINK IT IS POSSIBLE THE WATER JET BROKE THE TIPS?

2) ANY SUGGESTIONS (BESIDES A SCRAP YARD) AS TO HOW I CAN BUY THE FINS ALONE?
