I just sold my SL500, 1997, this evening, and the new owner called with a problem. He tells me that something is "sticking out" of the ignition switch and he cannot insert the key. The key and fob are intact. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? I've owned the car for years and never had any issues at all, especially with the ignition switch. Not really my problem now, but would like to help him if possible. I hate for him to think I sold a problem car!
