Smile Headlights on R129

I have the original lights on a 96 SL 500. Has anyone changed bulbs to improve illumination of the road at night. I don't want to go the expense of HID, just better night lights. Sometimes I drive with fogs just to see the road.

I use silverstar bulbs by Sylvania, They are a bit more $ but pepboys does have promotions on them.

I would also recommend having your headlight aim checked.

you can do a Google search. There are other bulbs that might work better. philps xtreme vision, exteme power, osram night breakers. GE nighthawk. But make sure your headlights are aimed correctly. being off just a little can make a huge difference.

Thank you all, I just purchased a new Lexus ES that has lights that actually shine on and down the road with low beams. I guess I'm spoiled.
