When I fill the tank the guage only shows 3/4.. The float seems to be heavy. The car is a '95 sl500. I'd like to hear from anyone who incurred the same problem and how they corrected it. Thanks,

 

My 97 SL500 acted the same, but I discovered that if I carefully filled the top of the tank I could usually get another 10 ltrs in. The guage then gets close to full. Driven carefully at <120 kms on the hwy I can easily get 500 kms a tank. That's 300 Miles for the rest of the world. Ian
