I am having problem with my temp. guage and fuel guage. they don't move a bit when I start the engine. after about some time lets say 20 min. or 30-40 km. first the fule guage works fine than temp guage. I checked fuses. they looked ok.</P>

I am having the same exact problem on my '94 C280. I took it to a local Mercedes Dealer and they told me they were going to charge me $1200 to fix it. I had problems with the car beforehand. It was stuttering and miss-firing. I took it to the dealer and they ended up replacing the fuel pump. After that repair, my gauges, too, would no longer work. Few days later, I had the same exact problem, again. After three more trips to the shop and about $3500 later, they found out it was JUST the spark plugs. LOL. Thought you would enjoy the story. I've got a 1994 c280 as well with the same problem. It seems to happen more in the cold of winter and I am seeing it less now that spring is almost on us. Sometimes it is even the tachthat won't work when i start some mornings. My mechanic told me it would be $1000US to replace the whole guage cluster. I really hope there is some other way.</P>


Oh, just recently the cruise control cut out on my drive to work one morning, but by the time the afternoon commute started, it was working again. Coincidence?</P>
