make sure you disconnect the battery ground or suffer the consequences. not everything requires a disconnect, but if not sure pull the ground. I messed up my srs after removing seat and my hand held diagnostic scanner won't reset error message. need sds

do not position the seat by the headrest when reinstalling. that will open another can of worms.

the whole reason for removing seat to fix the lumbar, etc adjustment was to assume a vacuum pump purchased a year or so earlier was impossible to be bad already. well as it turned out the new pump was bad. I checked at the seat vacuum reservoir behind the spare tire for vacuum, there was none. wish I would have checked there first. would have saved a lot of time in looking for a problem elsewhere in the system. two pumps in 45,000 miles, I went with a rebuild for this replacement. $350 is better than 800. think this could be another weak spot.
