Default engine cover

can someone please tell me how to get the engine shroud off
of a 2003 sl500...without resorting to a hammer.

just pull off firmly. upwards from the sides. you wont break it.

thanks...but it appears to be i 2 sections, a more flexible one in the front
and a more rigid one in the back....i pulled with no luck, afraid ill
break something....any more tips ?

The front engine cover is one piece with the wrap around cover.

it could be a seperate piece at the front with the MB star on it. pull up at the front then seperate upward from the rest of the engine cover. then remove the rear cover by pullling up where the air intake tubes attach lift up and also lift at the sides. its a tight fit. you wont break anything
