Just wanted to find out if it was the module or...? I have a 1992 300SL as well, and having a similar problem. I just bought my car, and also found a infrared remote control unit missing in the trunk. Does anyone know where to get this module? Along with the lack of the signals, I also have no speedo, tach, oil pres. guage and some other dash accessaries. Any ideas where to begin?

 

are there any other modules missing or fuses burnt in the drivers side engine compartment fuse, module and relay box? someone may have been robbing other parts. remove the fuse cover and remove the 6 phillips screws. might make it easier to raise hood vertically. you will have to go to a dealer for the remote door lock module. some dealers will be nice, but you have to ask for the better deal or you can roll the dice on ebay, etc.
