Hello, I'm new here and need y'alls opinion on this 1974 convertible 450SL I'm looking to pick up. It has 65k on it. Little rust on front right fender. White with Blue interior and a new blue hardtop. Strange body kit with spoiler, aftermarket wheels and runs fine. Price is 5k but I can get it down. Straight car in and out. Do I pull the trigger or walk away? Sorry I don't have much Mercedes knowledge.

 

if it's been outside or from an area that salts the roads in winter, don't do it. look under the doors for rust. better to look for a lower mileage R129 96 or newer or a r230 04 or newer. good buys on later model sl's these days
