Default Annoying seat belt chime... Anyone???

Does anybody know how to turn off a the seatbelt chime on a 09 SL550? Please don't respond with "wear your seatbelt, it's illegal, etc...".

Thanks. It is very nice. Btw, I am not asking for pitty, nore for any smart*ss comments. I just want to know if anyone has a clean sollution to this problem. I know one way is to cut off a seatbelt slider off of a junk car and stick it in the clip, but I don't want to go that route.

glad I'm not in too much trouble. as an old 129 owner I can't help on your belt chime. wish I could. I have a late model F150 that has a loud and very annoying one also, to bad they didn't have a volume control. one day I'll trace it down and unplug it or put a sock in it. good luck, happy driving

you think I should take apart the instrument cluster to find the actual chime? What I am afraid of is that in modern cars everything is working with something else. Let's say I find the chime, disable it and something else stops working. Hopefully I will find someone that has done it.
