I recently purchased a 95 E320. I'm trying to determine why the car sounds a chime 5 times when I turn the key off. It doesn't appear there is anything wrong. I'm just curious if that's normal. Thanks to anyone that can help.

 

Are you talking about the chime that sounds when the key is first inserted?

As it turns out, it was coming from the after market radio. Thank you though. Unfortunately, this means I still have an unidentified drain on my battery. Any idea what might cause that?

 

It could still be the aftermarket radio or an aftermarket alarm depending on how it was wired.
