I posted this on the Tech section as well. How do I remove the entire interior rear view mirror complete unitto install a complete brand new one? As you probably know, you cannot buy just the mirror, you have to buy a complete unit which includes the garage door opener unit, the mount to the ceiling, etc. It looks like I need to remove the cover on the ceiling and I can probably unplug the wiring and unbolt the unit. I would then just reinstall the new one. If this is the case, how do I remove the ceiling cover to expose the bolts/screws? Please help.

 

In the above post, I mentioned it being mounted to the ceiling when actually it is mounted to the top of the windshield. Anyway, I need advise and help.
