I'm reposting as my earlier post was combined with another in error.
Although I don't need it often, my heater is not working. I have set the temperature controlwheel warmer than outside temperature and pushed the automatic button. Even set for high temperature, the air conditioning still runs and no heat is generated. The engine runs at the correct temperature. Although I could probably get along without heat I do like everything operational. Any ideas that a diy can do?

On my 2000 there are two plugs in the back of the climatre control head unit and they have contact pins that can become corroded from moisture and age not making full contact. I had this problem as my heat wouldn't shut off. Fan was on high blowing hot aie constantly. I purchased the radio head remove keys off ebay for $15.00 and pulled the head out cleaned the contacts and walla! WORKED FOR ME!
