I have an 88 560SL and the seats make me crazy. I depress the side lever which allows the seat to snap into the low position. (I'm 6'5" tall). When i cross a speed bump the seat springs back into the high position. My wife only weighs 110lbs and can't keep her seat down at all. The dealer doesn't know what to do to disable the spring and cause the seat to remain down.

Anyone know about this?
