87 560SL no fuel to engine fuel pump pressure
Hello gentlemen: I'm trying to breath life into a 1987 560SL. It was my father's, but has been sitting outside for many years. I have drained the tank and put in a new fuel tank exit hose. I'm having great fun if I didn't have to move it soon.
Ended up putting new fuel pump relay and verified pumps dead. New pumps and filter, when I found the exit hose rotten. Now it seems I'm getting fuel to the fuel distributor or injection unit but no fuel into the cylinders to make it run. Has great spark and runs well initially with starting fluid, but that's the end of it. I don't know anything about the fuel injection setup on this engine, and would appreciate any suggestions on getting past this problem. Any threads that have pictures of checking the fuel distributor would be much appreciated.
Any help, thanks.
